I've Got Your Name On Me

(Terry Gomes)
In 1999 I saw a news show that featured a group of university students stopping people on the street who were blatantly displaying various logos on their clothing. The students were handing them invoices to submit to the clothing corporations demanding remuneration for their free advertising services. I was so impressed that these students were not allowing themselves to be easily manipulated by advertisers and the media. As a result, this very satirical piece about the “super” consumer was born.
"I've got your name on me
and I plug it for free,
I do it willingly,
So everyone will see..."
